About.

Research Park iNOVA is a facility located in Tórshavn, the Faroe Islands, where private enterprises and public institutions can access state-of-the-art laboratories, instruments, offices, and an event location.

Research Park iNOVA was created as a part of a coordinated effort by the state and an array of the largest private enterprises on the islands to improve the scientific infrastructure of the Faroe Islands.

Research Park iNOVA is a unique scientific environment, where research departments of private companies share a roof with the university and public research institutions, granting improved access to high-end instruments and allowing coordinated cooperation and shared skills and competencies between users.

In 2025, the Food and Resources House (Mat- og tilfeingishúsið) was established — a unit with the purpose of highlighting Faroese resources. It is a food house in an inspiring environment offering quality guidance, where good ideas can grow and become reality, ensuring that even more value is created from our raw materials. A place that encourages collaboration and the development of sustainable solutions for Faroese resources, both for domestic use and export. The Food and Resources House operates under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Industry and Trade.

The Mat- og tilfeingishúsið provide professional startup guidance in food production and product development. Users of the house can rent facilities for shorter or longer periods to develop, test, and refine food products.
